installing PIL, genshi, mercurial, and others does not work seamlessly or not at all if one has no possibility to create the pre-set path /opt/studio/SOS11/SUNWspro/bin/cc. it would be nice to have this path as /opt/csw/studio .... so anybody is able to set it. see http://groups.google.com/group/distutils-sig/browse_thread/thread/d8d2c47eb1d96210 [^] as well. |

actually, this is a python thing. if you could compile python with a path which is *in* /opt/csw than others would have the possibility to replicate your setting. see: http://docs.python.org/distutils/apiref.html [^] especially: distutils.sysconfig.customize_compiler(compiler) |
