Summary

0003682: easy_install pre-sets the compiler, which cannot be changed.

Description

installing PIL, genshi, mercurial, and others does not work seamlessly or not at all if one has no possibility to create the pre-set path /opt/studio/SOS11/SUNWspro/bin/cc.

it would be nice to have this path as /opt/csw/studio .... so anybody is able to set it.

(0006170) ThurnerRupert (reporter) 2009-05-22 15:42	actually, this is a python thing. if you could compile python with a path which is in /opt/csw than others would have the possibility to replicate your setting. see: http://docs.python.org/distutils/apiref.html [^] especially: distutils.sysconfig.customize_compiler(compiler)
