There were indeed files missing from the 5.8 catalog. I've added the missing packages back, regenerated it and pushed to mirrors. Please try installing again. |

I've modified the pkgdb backend to refuse package deletions from the 5.8 catalog, so the problem should not occur again in the future. |

I have installed 7 other Solaris 8 systems today. They all went fine and could find all packages required. Thanks! |
