Summary | 0004536: undefined reference to upnpcleanup and upgrade to 1.2.1 | ||||||
Description |
I am currently trying to compile lftp with socks support and I am running into the following error: configure:10190: checking for main in -lsocks configure:10209: /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -o conftest -xO3 -m32 -xarch=386 -xnorunpath -I/opt/csw/include -m32 -xarch=386 -norunpath -L/opt/csw/lib conftest.c -lsocks >&5 cc: Warning: illegal option -norunpath "conftest.c", line 42: warning: statement not reached Undefined first referenced symbol in file upnpcleanup /opt/csw/lib/libsocks.so ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to conftest [...] This bug seems to have been fixed in the 1.2.1 version according to the changelog: Fix libsocks upnpcleanup() linking problem when compiled without libminiupnpc. Problem reported by Kyle Thurow <krthurow@gmail.com.example.com> and Adam Prato <adam.prato@gmail.com.example.com>. Could you upgrade to 1.2.1 or fix the current version ? Thanks in advance. Yann |

Hi Yann, thanks for the research and report. Updated packages are now available from experimental. http://mirror.opencsw.org/experimental.html#skayser [^] Are you able to test them from there or do you need them to be published and installed on the buildfarm first? |

Hi Sebastian, Thanks for this really quick answer. Yes I would need them to be installed on the buildfarm. You can first install it only on one build server if you want so I can check that it works correctly with lftp. |

Just FYI, libsocks has been pushed to current, currently pending release. http://lists.opencsw.org/pipermail/pkgsubmissions/2010-September/001200.html [^] |
