Summary: 0005064: don't use _gxx suffix or gxx installation tree
Description: I propose to abandon the suffix and the gxx tree:

1. there is no other instance of Qt
2. our main-line compiler is gcc, thus gxx for C++

What do you think?

at first: yes
unless we try to build QT with SOS sometime.
but the problem I have is a build cycle takes much time and rebuild failed recently (because some updates on the buildfarm?).

IMHO if building with GCC is easier we don't need to bother with SOS.

If you don't have the time to explore the causes for the recent build failure I can give it a try next week. Just let me know.
