Summary: | 0000020: Mozilla produces alert screen and exits when accessing \'security\' features | ||||
Description: |
Mozilla 1.2.1 from CSW. SPARC, Solaris 8 02/02, with lots of patches including the ones pointed out in the notes posted to blastwave for mozilla. All I need to do to reproduce this is to go into preferences, select Privacy and Security, and click on \"Validation\". When I do this, I get a popup window with this alert: Could not initialize the browser\'s security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your browser\'s profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommened that you exit the browser and fix the problem. If you continue to use this browser session, you might see incorrect browser behaviour when accessing security features. After I click on this window\'s OK button, the whole browser usually exits. I can not find any core file, so I do not know if it crashed or exited under control. Is it just me having this problem? |
