0004859: iftop does not work with libpcap

Description

iftop does not work with the new libpcap. If I revert libpcap to version 1.0.0 version then iftop works again. See issue #[4557].

iftop displays zeroes for all values

(0009399) dam (administrator) 2011-11-10 14:31	The problem is that the old iftop linked against SONAME-unspecific libpcap.so leading to wrong linkage: unstable9s% ldd /opt/csw/sbin/iftop /usr/lib/secure/s9_preload.so.1 libpthread.so.1 => /usr/lib/libpthread.so.1 libpcap.so => /opt/csw/lib/sparcv8plus/libpcap.so libnsl.so.1 => /usr/lib/libnsl.so.1 ... The issue has long been fixed in libpcap. iftop needs a rebuild against the current libpcap.so.1.
