| Summary | 0004063: RFE: CAS for adding/removing entries to/from /etc/shells | ||||||
| Description | Could we get a CAS to handle /etc/shells entries. Currently bash, zsh, tcsh and maybe others employ their own postinstall/postremove scripts to do so. | ||||||

I have added a line to the wiki about it. Hopefully someone will pick it up. Shouldn't be much different from cswetcservices for example. |

It would be a superset of cswetcservices. The trick is that the file may not exist initially at all. In the case where test ! -f /etc/shells is true, a default list needs to be added. If the list of all valid shells (sol8 and up) is provided, I can look at adding this CAS. |

Test package available in http://buildfarm.opencsw.org/experimental.html#cswclassutils [^] (shortly, anyway). Testing welcome. |
