| Description |
Because there are incompatibilities between NRPE versions, which support different packet sizes, it is necessary to provide at least two different versions: - packet size of 1 kB (which should be the default for most of the packages, also BSD and Linux ones) - packet size of 8 kB (which is desired for some Nagios plugins with a longer output like check_multi) |

In testing packages are available with two binaries - one for 1 kB size of data, one for 8 kB. See the readme file. |

The current NRPE package now includes binaries for 1 kb and 8 kb data transmissions. |
