My guess is that even though the sgi_fam number was added to /etc/rpc, inetd doesn\'t reread this when it gets a HUP signal (a bug in inetd?) A workaround might be to use the number instead of the symbolic name in inetd.conf (assuming my guess is correct) |

The old SGI FAM has been obsoleted by gamin. |
