I have a number of Solaris hosts without Internet access. I do have other systems with internet access, but these are not Solaris systems, so the standard answer "Let's assume you have a working Solaris host that has Internet access - this is not your target machine, it's an intermediate host..." doesn't work for me.
How can I get OpenCSW packages to install on my Solaris hosts? Can I download the .pkg.gz files in some other way, like FTP?

Basically you can download packages with wget. But are you able to use http proxy, a simple tinyproxy works? So you can set environment variable http_proxy for pkgutil.

I wish. I have a windows PC (sigh) with internet conenctivity. If i can download something to that PC, then I would have to copy the file to a USB sctick of CD/DVD, transfer it to a lab where it can be scanned and virusses and stuff, and only then can I have it transferred to where I want it.
I know; this is 2015, but these things are not under my control. (sob)
