Can I install OpenCSW packages on Solaris 11?

Solaris 11 uses IPS. I only see SVR4 packages in the OpenCSW catalogs. Is there an IPS package catalog? Are there any other options?

A new catalog with IPS packages is in the works. Apart from that packages available for earlier versions of Solaris are generally compatible with later versions of Solaris. Solaris 11 still has the System V package system which allows installation of the existing Solaris 10 packages in the same way as on Solaris 10.

However, some packages require libraries which are not installed on Solaris 11 by default. This is

• pkg install pkg:/library/medialib as required by CSWgdkpixbuf
• pkg install pkg:/x11/library/libxinerama as required by CSWgtk2
• pkg install pkg:/x11/library/libx11 as required by CSWpango
• pkg install pkg:/x11/compatibility/links-xorg and the link ln -s ../../share/X11/locale /usr/openwin/lib/locale as required by CSWfontconfig
