Can I relocate packages to another directory than /opt/csw ?

My space in /opt is limited, can I use some other directory for OpenCSW packages?

Short answer: no. OpenCSW packages are not relocatable as lots of packages have compiled in pathes to configuration files. If you are really out of space you could add a separate filesystem mounted to /opt/csw or make a loopback mount.
