Is this related to 0004914 ?

No, not related any other ticket I've opened. When I re-installed CSW* I first removed everything including log files. This is choking on data from a host other than the one complained about MAX_COLUMNS.
The 'sundat1' host data is for a Solaris 9 host, one which is a reasonably busy place.
This is, so far, the only host to cause such complaints.

There are some possible causes reported in
  http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool-trac/ticket/270 [^]

Could you especially check for these?
- imgformat is any of SVG|EPS|PDF
- rrdgraph tries to write into a file where it doesn't have write permissions
- after eating up 2GB process limit
