Summary 0002283: squid uses /opt/csw/var for the default location of the cache.
Description I have been trying to submit squidguard as a blastwave packge and have been trying to keep it consistent with squid. I used /opt/csw/var/squidGuard as the default location of the db and log directories. Unfortunately Phil bounced recommeding that I instead use /var/opt/csw/squidGuard. He also asked that I open a bug against squid for this same issue.
Additional Information I think that if squid is changed to use /var/opt/csw/cache for the default cache directory, it will break existing installations that use the default. It might be better to leave the compiled in default and change the directory in the sample configuration file.

I don't think changing the cache directory will "break" existing installs that use the default, but until the cache is rebuilt, it will be noticeably slower.

I will look into it and do some testing to make sure.
