Hello,
This looks more like an upstream issue rather than a packaging issue. Could you please try if the newest rrdtool version 1.4.2,REV=2010.03.21 will fix this issue?
IMPORTANT NOTE: 1.4.2,REV=2010.03.21 is built with Perl 5.10.1

Thanks a lot,
I tried with latest CSWrrd tool, still I'm facing same issue, if I rollback CSWrrd to version 1.2.x it is working fine.

I'm having the same problem. I'm using 1.4.2 on i86 Solaris.
Here's what the graph of normal, wiggly user data looks like:
http://bonmot.ca/~daniel/tmp/test.png [^]
a) I looked at the data and it has normal values in it, not the two values, and
b) I had the creator of rrdtool draw a graph with my .rrd file using his code, and it came out OK.
How can I help debug this problem?
How can I downgrade to 1.2.x ? |

I:
* did a pkgrm CSWrrd
* set my url= in /opt/csw/etc/pkg-get.conf to "stable"
* did pkg-get -i rrdtool to get 1.2.19
and it works! |

Notice that these really were two problems: my *graph lines* were straight lines. That graph above should have looked like this:

Here's what generated those two (before and after)
rrdtool graph test.png DEF:permin=/usr/local/nagios/nagiosgraph/rrd/app07/oas_log___oas_log.rrd:permin:AVERAGE 'LINE:permin#ff0000:Per Minute' |

An updated rrdtool 1.4.3,REV=2010.07.05 fixing a couple of bugs has been released. Please verify if this fixes your problem.

I just tested with 1.4.5,REV=2011.03.21 from unstable and the issue is definitely fixed. |
