Summary | 0001011: RFE: make pkg_get compatible with flag -R of pkgadd
Description | It would be nice if one could select an alternative root directory for the installation of packages. This option is available in pkgadd with the command line parameter -R. Unfortunately passing such a flag to pkg_get via the config variable PKGADDFLAGS in pkg_get.conf does not do the trick, as this option is not passed to pkginfo during the check, if the package is already installed and all dependencies are fulfilled.
Steps To Reproduce | ||||||||||||
Additional Information | This feature would be nice to have in a live upgrade environment, where blastwave packages could be installed on a shared slice as an alternate root path and lofs mounted to the boot environment. This solves the problem of keeping blastwave package metadata consistent across different boot environments.
