Is this something you need? OOo currently can only use 3.6 and the library changes on each minor rev. I can pack both old and new libs but it\'s harder with the headers to carry 2 versions.

I am currently reviewing Makefiles and noticed this from
openoffice/Makefile:
# CSW icu is outdated for now
#CONFIGURE_ARGS += --with-system-icu

I am just peeking at outdated packages and look what can be improved. If you don\'t think this will be useful you can ignore this bugreport.

That is an old reference to ICU-3.0 which was long over due for update. I\'ve since updated to 3.6 and ICU has since been updated to 3.8 (no 3.7, odd numbers are a dev step I think). I could pack the 3.6 libs with the 3.8 but is makes an 11MB package twice as big. I can just be careful and use the old package for OOo build - which isn\'t done on the BW machines anyways because of incompatibilities and space problems. For now can we leave at 3.6 and I\'ll review again when I know what ICU version OOo 2.4 uses.
